Are you tired from flashy guitar beating, overly processed sound or the same cover songs? You’re at the right place: Tamás Szöke isn’t your average fingerstyle guitar player. He can be loud, likes to be driving and virtuous or silent, immersive to giving an other level of music listening.
The Vienna based solo acoustic guitar composer-player merges his classical influences with the rhythmical twists of progressive rock to express his experiences about everyday life. The music is calm, fast-flowing and emotionally transparent. Yeah, what can you expect from a guy who grew up listening Beethoven and Metallica? In his guitar playing, has found inspiration from the complexity and clarity of Peppino d’Agostino and the powerful style of Leo Kottke or Tommy Emmanuel.
He won the Guitar Contest in the Acoustic Strings Festival (Raalte, NL), regularly plays at the International Bluegrass Festival in Hungary, and holds instrument demos and workshops. Among his latest activities, opened concerts for Peppino d’Agostino and Peter Finger.
